About Me

Hi!

My name is Jon, I have lived in the Salt Lake area for 20 years. My family and I reside in the southeast bench area of Sandy.

I can honestly say that Utah is the best place in the United States to call home! You are making a wonderful choice to become a homeowner in such an awesome part of the world!

I have been to every state in the Union minus Rhode Island, every province in Canada and I have poked around in Mexico a bit... but,

I always like to come home to Utah!

We have the northern mountains for countless powder days in the winter, breathtaking hikes during the warmer months, the southern deserts for off-roading and the best red rock next to Mars, endless lakes and reservoirs for boating and fishing, and best of all...all four seasons!

I am very aware of what each of those seasons is doing to your potential home, inside and out. I will be inspecting your next home or property with extreme patience and detail.

I will inspect the home and property as if I were looking to buy it myself!

My Qualifications

I attended Allied Business School of Laguna Beach California were I graduated from their Intensive Home Inspection Certification Program. I am aligned with, and am a member of NACHI. They are one of the largest Associations for Home inspectors in the U.S.

On a yearly basis, I am required to maintain my level of certification by taking and passing dozens of extensive tests, totaling over 90 credit hours of cousework. This is a requirement of NACHI and I feel the best way to give you the assurance that I am up to date with the latest information in the field of Home Inspection. Ask any other Inspector what he/she does per year to keep proficient! I guarantee they are doing little if anything...

During my college years at the University of Utah, I majored in the Earth Sciences, namely Geography where I pursued my Bachelor of Science degree in Geography.

I am an ATP rated Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor. I bring my attention to detail and passion for proper training and certification in the Aviation field to my Inspection Business and services.

Did you know that Utah is one of the few states that does not have or require a state license for Home Inspectors?

Well... it is true. There are many people advertising to be Home inspectors....some are guys who got fed up with doing construction, or one of the many aspects of home building. They are probably very smart and qualified...

However, I am giving you the assurance that I have put in the book work, time and money to get properly certified to highest possible level until the state of Utah requires Home Inspectors to pass and hold a state license to remain in business!

When the law makers here in Utah get around to making legislation for Home Inspectors to take and pass a state test to operate and be in business as a Home Inspector, I will be the first in line to take it!

I am required by the above mentioned association, NACHI to take yearly recurrent training courses and tests in all fields relating to home inspections. I must pass these exams with an 80% or better to maintain my membership. (below is a breakdown of all required additional yearly training)

I invite you to visit: www.nachi.org for more details!

This is just one of many ways I can assure you that you are getting the best inspection for your time and money.

The yearly recurrent courses include: Structural, Roofing, Foundations, Electrical, Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, Attics and Insulation, Fireplaces and Chimneys, Mold, Interior Fixtures, Exterior, Appliances, Doors and Windows, Pools and Saunas, and Termite and Rodent problems...Just to name a few!
